I’m Alive!!

I checked my blog stats today…. Results are: yesterday- 14 viewers, today9 viewers…… My blog was stagnant for almost a month but viewers are still waiting for the first rise of a new post…. I feel touched and sorry for keeping you all waiting endlessly… THOUSAND and ONE APPOLOGIES…………

This one month was a euphoria of God’s Blessing and Favor…

Reporting from the 190909 event, God literally put a glass bowl over Cyberview and shielded it from the pouring rain. The rain was seriously pouring hard all over, from the north to the south, east to west. Guest came from all direction telling us that we have to come out with Plan B because the rain will be arriving soon. The workers refuse to put out any chair till the last minute when we had to finally command them to do so. People were sceptical. Some were anticipating someting gloomy might happen.

But…… God who is so good, whose mercies endureth forever…. the God who is mighty to save… who is bigger than the air I breathe… performed his wonders that evening… He gave us a cool breeze, and the best weather anyone could dream of. Truly, the whole event pointed so clearly to HIM. Everything turned out PERFECT because everything was centered around HIM. No one left that venue feeling it was just another event. Everyone was in silent awe of HIM. Some told that it was the most peaceful event, some say it was so beautiful. Well this was definately not in our planning list. Cos we knew it’s beyond our control. But God took control of it. He gave His final touch as THE PERFECT GIFT forLionel and Me.

To me 190909 will forever remain as the Day of Miracles and the First Miracle for Lionel and Me not as two but ONE.

After the event…. when I step into my suite… I was dumb-founded… WHEN IS GOD”S END TO BLESSING? WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE SO MANY GIFTS FROM HIM? Gifts even the best of friends could never give… BUT HE GAVE IT TO ME… then deep within was a silent voice to continue to give Him my whole life even when I’m young.

Dear friends….. I could never afford any of these luxuries… if any girl has a fantasy to have her wildest dream come true.. I can tell I had mine fulfilled… Not because I have Cash or Fame But because I have My Father God….

I owe everything to Him!

I’m AweSTRUCK

Nearing my big day….

many says i have lost pounds :(
some say it will be the most stressful time of my life.. (i agree. Thank God it’s only once a lifetime!) :P
i am truly busy with lots of planning, designing, and other stressful major and patty stuffs :(
i’m also juggling it with my assignments and master subjects :(
i have datelines to worry, and datelines to set :(
i have lots of things to prepare for the shifting of house :(
loads of cleaning and scrubbin to be done at new premises :(
appreciation gifts, little here and there(s) are costly $$

my list can go on.. and BORE YOU!

BUT still i’m awestruck! Last wednesday i preached in my church about the worth of serving God and that is JOY! A common word that we discount it’s worth and take it for granted. We minimize the limits of joy many a times

But at this juncture of life, season and time. I found the Joy of God has been more that just :) :) :) it has been my STRENGTH. It sustained me through my long-list of :( :( :( , listed above.

My joy came in terms of speedy recovery from flu, people being a BLESSING and Providence from God, warehouse sales, mega sales all contributed to us being able to get our necessities for the shiftings.

The most amazing thing is that God worked for me every single detail of my big day. God helped in terms of idea for designing, the right location to call up to book, the place to look for the gifts and stuffs we need, providing people to bless us in many ways (financially, materially, skill, ideas, manpower).

I’m awestruck SO AWESTRUCK how REAL GOD can actually be. He was not like some magician that with a fling of his wand everything was perfect-that’s fantasy. BUT he was WORKING with me through the whole process and its a great comfort to know the God of the universe is part of the working team. What is there to be worried??

As the days unfolds, i am seeing that all that i ever dream of for my BIG DAY it’s actually coming true. A Dream Come True. I’m not the richest girl on the planet, if you know me i’m just an average student, serving God full time…. but still at the end I’m receiving so much I can’t count. So much with all my dreams and fantasy in it too!!! God truly knows the desires of our heart. And though so much has been received, everything has been only at a reasonably low cost!!.. Though i may not be the richest but my God of the universe owns evrything and he blesses His children RICHLY!!

Serving God is worth it….. cos’ nothing can compare to that JOY which makes God SO SO REAL in my LIFE!

I can lie and go back to bed knowing my dreams will come true, because God holds my DREAM & He is REAL!

Youth Camp 2009

I’ll walk you through the story with pictures…

Sounds interesting???

Ok it was a 4 days 3 nights camp at Dusun Eco, Bt. Tinggi.

Well to me the venue was really “back to nature” especially for the toilets.. they really almost reached the “back to nature standard” LOL.. not complaining but YES there’s a froggie in the toilet, big black lizards (they jump), snails, lots of insects and erm…. a huge long milipede – ok non of these creatures are deadly, so that’s good but they are FREAKY. Especially if you have to bath with them or brush your teeth with them. Adding to the company is the freezing cold mountain water that could send chills up your spines…

OK I HOPE I SCARED YOU!!!! WAHHAHAHAHAH evil laughs…….

Upon reaching the foothill of the campsite, we were FORCED to climb and work our butt muscles up to the campsite. Thank God the luggages were transported by a jeep. I wish i was part of the luggages. :(

Ok so yee hah…. here we go up and up the hill… (please forgive the poser in the third picture) :P

Alright we all reached up safely with some muscles tonned.. hopefully! And after a short brief we had games (GAMES THAT HURT OUR BUTTS EVEN MORE!!!!!) what!!!????? is this a boot butt camp???

 come on SPLIT!!!!

   Oh Boy! More POSERS!!

YEAP!!! THAT IS A SPLIIIIT!!

But however those amazing splitters did not win the game. My team led by MR. CHRIS CHIN of Team Roti Ikan WON!!

We may not be able to split our legs but our brain and strategy power made it!!! SORRY I’M BRAGGIN….

This is the game that burned our butts!! Burned because we had to move from one end of the scorching cement floor to the other end on our BUTTS!! ouch ouch.. I feel the pain and the muscles cramps so badly I decided one picture of this game ordeal is more than enough for anyone to picture the scenario 20 mortal humans had to endure.

LOOK AT THEIR EXPRESSIONS!!! Poor thing

NEXT NEXT  Please…. Ahh.. yes LEGS.. LEGS.. beautiful legs.. look at my team parading their legs. And look at that “ON YOUR MARKS” pose…. SWEET.. look look at how they speed away together as a team of bread and fishes…… lol

By the pool alone…. then God saw that it was not good for the woman to be alone so he sent… ADAM  LIONEL!!!

And God Multiplied filled the waters of the pool with……..

Throughout the camps activities and games were competed between 3 teams. The Faith Team, The Flame of the Bush Team and TEAM Roti Ikan (MY TEAM!!).

We had to compete in a cheer, a skit and games. For the cheer we had to do it 3 times and the the revised version of our unconventional team won First Placing. As for the skit, my team we did a modern day Jonah skit. I have to SALUTE my team mates. They were astoundingly amazing in the skit. It was like they perfectly suited the characters of the skit. It was hilarious, yet the message was clear. I have done this exact skit with other groups from other places but i must admit Roti Ikan was the best team i worked with!!! HURRAY guys!!

Please welcome the Roti Ikan TEAM!!

MS. Daredevil …..

I did the hanging bridge, flying fox and a rainy jungle trekkin……. i still came out alive and well!

See the sun glass??? hahaha it is so that no one will know if I closed my eyes or not, as long as i keep SMILING! lol

Not forgetting the God-sent VIP of the camp. Rev. Chris Pak!

He’s so sensitive to the needs of the teens. I admired his teaching and the way he connected and reached out to a generation that is like so apart from his. Well at the end of the camp, the teens were like his buddies. Oh yeah, he did the flying fox too!! ;)

Okay!!! There’s alot more of the camp… but due to time I have to keep it short and sweet….

Go Sword Squad!!

What Were My Holidays Like?

Okay…. This is how the holiday started..

The first week went by like this:~

DAY 1&2

UPHILL… Naik Bukit Genting With BCM Gals just for one night…. we ate, played, prayed, ate more, watch wayang, bump each other, and **cuddle** in one room.

DAY 3

Leon came back from Spore by plane..after Lionel fetch him and his female fren, Ai Min from air port, they came to my house to pick me up for a whole day of outing…. PHEW!! actually it was an outing to satisfy Leon and his singaporian friend’s food craving. Thank God I live in Msia… Yumm Yumm!

So first stop was Dim Sum.. Leon Paid.. whoo-hoo… Second was KFC @ Curve, then back to Kota Kemuning for homecook dinner… supper was with BCM fellas, Danny, Victor Lee and Girlfren, Jon Koo, Lionel, Me, Leon and Ai Min.

Day 4

Mid val with Ps. Ooi Lin’s family til lunch den headed to Leon’s dentist for his surgery, but good for him, the surgery was not done and it was postponed again. So headed off to Tesco for shopping with the whole family…. shop till you drop…..good thing none off us drop..LOL…

well.. oh ya.. that night we had a show “run fat boy run”… Aft that lionel, leon and ai min slept over at my house so that the next day we did not have to wake up so early to visit Miracle (Leon’s Kai Lui) at Sg. Long.

Day 5

Miracle House… see miracle… den Went to Klang to pick stuffs up …….

Dinner was great!!!! we went for Korean Barbeque with Painted Picture Band and then went over to one of the band member’s house to play Nintendo V.. wakakkakakaka cool… we played boxing, golf and tennis.. it was fun to see the silly expressions of everyone.

 tap-tap-tap with Leon’s IPhone

Korean Barbecue~Look at the Meat… YUM YUM

Virtual Boxing with Lionel on Nintendo

Then came the weekend back to church and work……

SUNDAY.. ARGHHH WOKE UP WITH A RED EYE on the right eye… sighs down with sore eye……

Week two was stressful yet the happenings in the week did bring some relief :~

Monday I tried to get enough rest for the family dinner in the evening but eyes did not really cooperate much.. it watered and watered….

Wednesday was the day we went to Cyberview Lodge to check out the place….YEAH!! finally prayer answered. He provided us an award winning garden… Truly he gives and takes away all for a better plan!!

Thursday, shopping for dresses with the Kay Renn, Yuli, Wai Chi, and Eang Bee…..YEAH YEAH!! Double blessing cos’ now I don’t have to worry about their dresses! Another Big Relief :)

ooooh but Friday came and eyes hurt even more. Went to doc again for a change of medication cos’ the first medication did not seem to work very well.. sighs..

Saturday, woke up.. *gasp*GOSH. BOTH EYES were red.. the virus must have spread in the night to the left eye.

And Sunday came, swollen, extremely painful and teary. My already small eyes looked even smaller now. NO!!! Then after the service, one of my member who also had sore eyes said he dripped the eye drop every hour and it helped his eyes clear faster. So I decided to be my own doc and started dripping the drops every hour …… GUESS WHAT!!!???

I could sit up the whole afternoon and finisg my assignment without the slightest pain or teary eyes. And best of all the swelling went down, pain got tremendously lesser, and my eyes came back to its normal size..

How would I evaluate the holidays????!!????!!

 It was everything but DULL

Yup Thats Bout It!!

Mr. Prez’s Daughters Wedding

The reason i’m posting bout Ps. Kok Kee’s Daughter’s wedding is because the venue captivated me…

The wedding dinner was at the Bankers Club located on the 22nd floor of Amoda building, right opposite Times Square.

Here are the photos:-

This is the cocktail section which is the main hall where the cake cutting and toast will be held. As you will see in the photos, this area has a large sitting area with couches and also in the middle of the hall there is a grand stairway leading to the second leval. Hight ceilings and high big windows made the room such a grandeur! There is a baby grand piano at one end of this section and also another louge room linking this hall. The wood furnishing is awesome. So like some 18th century Britist Aristocrat social gathering venue.

Snapshots from the large windows:~

Hall Ambience at 7.30 pm:~

The Dining Hall is another section of the venue. Its a two leval section. The upper section has grand balconies over looking the lower section.

Melaka E-Team

Back from Melaka E team

First e team for the year 2009 and it was to Melaka, Bandaraya Bersejarah (historical city).

With a team of 6 we left KL on Saturday morning and arrived at about 11 am at Bethel AOG, Melaka. The team settled down and started practicing the Special presentation and Worship session. The good part was we were able to get to work right away with not much of a fuss or hassle… Hmm.. I am wondering what was our motivation then??? After that we went to our respective lodgings. The guys stayed one floor above the sanctuary at the chinese church while the girls went FOUR floors above to a residential 3 room flat. The room we girls got was so small it could fit nothing else accept our 3 mattreses. After laying out the mattreses we had no room to walk about. No more clear floor to step, just mattreses to step on. No windows for fresh air, just one cold air-con which had no remote contro to control the temperature and a huge commercial fan.

After all that settling down we went out for SHOPPING,  TOWN HOPPING, & MELAKA FOOD!!!! nice.. Great hot sunny day to walk round town and just enjoy the sights, scenes, the historical architecture, smell of various food, and the weather. I enjoyed myself throughly. Thanks to our tour guide, Jason Foo. By the time we got back was about 4.45pm. We took a short nap and rush out for a quick dinner. Dinner was bad for me. I had Kuey Teow Soup. The noodle was so elastic that you could hardly bite through. Must have had lots of Boric Acid in it. Sighs… Didn’t dare take the risk of finishing up that bowl of boric acid noodles.

 ~snake handlers of Christ Church~

8.pm. The service began…… Worship was quite long, led by Bethel members. I don’t know if they usually have long worship or they just made it long that day because we were there… After that was INTRODUCING the BCM team.. We did a Special and a Testimony and it was handed over to Ps. Alex Soh to complete the job fo rthe night. He preached well!!!! After the service the team was asked to pray and minister to the youths. I am so so surprise that Bethel Church youth meeting is held after the main service every Saturday Night.

We were done for the first day’s service and now its supper time.. Off we went for Satay Celup. The street that we went had 3 satay celup stalls, all beside one another. One was a grand decorated shop (d’celup), the second was more open concept similar to OLD TOWN (Zao Jiuu) and the third was a typical cheapy stall with no decos (Ban Lee Siang)…And guess what.. that typical stall was jam pack. No seats left. So we had to go to the second shop.

Here is the story of Panda Fish

Panda Fish is fish paste made in to the shape of a cute pink panda…. Now look at the following pictures..

“Save the Panda Fish!!! Evryday hundreds of them are being celup-ed!!!!”

Hopefully this pictures serve as a public awareness.

Later, our tour guide, Jason drove us through Melaka streets with rows and rows of modern buildings that were brightly lit with many coloured lights while  the historical and traditional nyonya buildings were dimly glowing in red lights. What a beautiful nostalgic feel to the whole city. Finally we reached the city’s lantern festival. Where huge lantern sculptures decorated the whole area. There were building, towers, castles, palaces, traditional kampung houses all made of lantern. There was also a little garden/park with all the flowers and plants made of lantern. There were animals, traditional trasportation ie. beca (trishaw) and the kereta lembu (bullockcart) made of lantern. I enjoyed the colors and the lights. Right beside the lantern festival was the Melaka River where river cruises was provided for visitors and foreigners. And take note the time was past 12 mid night and the city was still so alive. The difference with the nightlife in KL compare to Melaka was that in KL, you hear car engines, you hear the street bustling with noise and loud music, you see the youth culture come alive at full force, and less families will be seen hanging out in the heart of KL in the wee hours of the morning. But over at Melaka the city comes alive at night with lights, and families stolling the streets, families gathering and makan stalls, kids running with lanterns and lights at the lantern festival, couples taking rides on the beca as they take in the nightlife, youths hang out but not in lala apparels. They come out in decent clothes, mostly just house shorts and T-shirts. I love the simplicity of life there. Its not too quiet, it’s modernity weaved with the quietness of life, added with the flavours of culture and a tinge of traditions. What an awesome blend.

We finally got back at about 1am in the morning and hit the sack immediatly.

Day 2 at melaka. Had a simple breakfast at the church prepared by Bethel Church, then it was time to roll out. We led worship, then Ps. Alex gave another good sermon accompanied with many funny jokes. LOL….. After the meeting ended the team spent time fellowshipping with the members. A group of young girls, who were upcoming pianist for the church, came up to me and aske some playing tips. So I spent my whole time giving them what I could. Then it was time for photos and BYE BYE to Bethel Church.

Our last destination for this trip was when Ps Emily, the Chinese Department Pastor took us to a Chinese Restaurant for a hearty chinese lunch. With hearts minds and tummy all filled…..yawns….. We bid GOODBYE to Mei Fern, Ps. Emily and Jason Foo………………………CHAOZ…

Juggling Things

Phew…. Sweats….

So So sorry for being MIA this long. I have been trying to juggle things this past few weeks and months. Not just things.. Actually, MANY THINGS!

Okay now for some brief update, I’ve had a good holiday, finish two out of three subjects for this trimester (which gives me more time with my juggling), finish 60% of my assignments (an accomplisment), had a new experience this Chinese New Year, caught up with my best friend (eang bee – dear gal miss u!), and travelled alot to get my things done. Kinda lack of sleep and lack of rest both physically and mentally.

So pray for me as I Juggle On!
